| Farnell Toffee - Item no OB059 |
|
Rare 1960s Farnell Toffee Bear
this darling little ted measures 11", and although he doesn't have a huge amount of
fur left, he makes up for it in charm! There is wear to his tummy where the (inoperative) squeaker is protruding, and he does
have wear to his footpads, although it's not bad enough for any filling to escape. Complete with his scarf and bobble
hat, he is not to be confused with the Chad Valley version. Being rehomed for owner.

c1950s Deans Rag Book Spaniel
This little darling is such a beauty in the 'fur', but oh so difficult to photograph, so please ask to see
extra pictures and I will photograph him from every angle! I have called him a Spaniel, but I actually have no idea what breed
of dog he is, suffice to say he has long floppy ears, a stubby tail and the most gorgeous glossy black fur! Measuring approx
13", he is made from mohair and very firmly stuffed. He is unjointed with a moulded plastic nose and plastic eyes. He
has his original label to his bottom. He is all original, with only slight thinning to the fur on his head. His ears are felt
lined with one tiny hole underneath. Truly adorable!

c1960/70s Spanish Quiron Bear Here's an unusual teddy. We
really don't find many bears manufactured in Spain, in fact I would be hard pushed to think of any others! Measuring
22" tall, he is made from a long pile sheepskin with leather paw pads. 5 way jointed (one arm has been pinned into place
and could do with rejointing). Hand made double layered glass eyes (blue & black), felt tongue, round felt 'ball'
nose. Stitched in label to left arm reading 'manufacturas Quiron, fabricado con materiales de primera calidad. Made in
Spain'. Complete with studded bear collar and badge from Royal Cornwall Show 9/6/84. Now only £30

1950/60s
Google-Eye Ted
Measuring
just over 14", I believe this quirky fellow to be German or Austrian. Unfortunately there is no sign or any tags of labels.
Made from a lovely pale greyish/fawn mohair, he has velveteen pawpads and unusual non-safety plastic eyes. He has a little
upturned muzzle made from bristle mohair and a felt nose. He is fully jointed, but has an inoperative growler. He is filled
with, what feels like foam rubber, so he is very soft and springy, but at the same time quite solid and dense. His tummy also
crunches which means that he has some wood-wool there, probably around the voice box. He is in really good original condition
with lovely soft fur. There is very slight thinning to the fur in the usual places ie tummy, left arm, back of body etc, but
it is minimal and does not notice much. His paw pads are also in good condition, with only slight marking (right foot pad
has a darkish 'dot' on it, but I haven't attempted to remove it).

no signs of wear or thinning, he retains his label to leg. Teddy obviously has certain asperations, and came to me wearing
his home-made super-hero cape. I haven't the heart to take it off him, so he will be rehomed complete with cape!
