50/60s Pedigree - Item no OB003

1950/60s Pedigree Bear
English, short golden mohair, plastic eyes, velveteen paw pads (worn but still complete), four way jointed, approx 12", inoperative squeaker. A cute little fellow, and the perfect size for taking around with you!

c1940s Eastern European

Such a sweet little fellow. Dating to around the 1940s, and originating from Eastern Europe, possibly  Poland. Made from art silk and measuring 9.5", he is 5 way jointed. Very solidly stuffed with wood-wool, and with reverse fabric paw pads. He is in the most gorgeous cheerful sunny orange colour, with no fading or thinning. Clear glass eyes with painted red backs.

c1940s Eastern European - Item no OB089

Farnell Toffee - Item no OB059

Rare 1960s Farnell Toffee Bear
this darling little ted measures 11", and although he doesn't have a huge amount of fur left, he makes up for it in charm! There is wear to his tummy where the (inoperative) squeaker is protruding, and he does have wear to his footpads, although it's not bad enough for any filling to escape. Complete with his scarf and bobble hat, he is not to be confused with the Chad Valley version. Being rehomed for owner.

1960s English Pedigree

22" (56cms) tall, cinnamon coloured mohair (98% coverage, very, very slight fading to some areas), velveteen paw pads, plastic eyes, moulded plastic 'dog' nose, working growler, remains of blue & white label to back. A gorgeous bear, perfect for cuddles! Being re-homed for owner. Charlie bears have a similar range.

1960s Pedigree - Item no OB113

c1940s, English Chime Panda

Art silk, unjointed in seated position. Approx 11" tall, glass eyes and soft felt nose. Overall fur coverage is quite good, apart from the head which has approx 40% balding especially to back and nose. Chime works well.

1940s Chiming Panda - Item no OB010

1960s Binatone Puppy Radio - Item no OB011

1960s Binatone Puppy Radio
Very rare, working soft toy radio. Batteries fit into body of dog, control knobs situated under belly of puppy. Made from art silk, complete with original collar (reading Binatone Puppy London) and gold chain lead (handle). Retains card control surround underneath, and stitched in label (made in Japan) to foot. In excellent original condition but with slight fading to side of head. Measuring 10" tall x 9" long. The only one that I've seen!

c1930 Jungle Toys 'Bingo' and Mum
Uncommon and in near mint condition. Mum measures 8" (20.5cms) and Bingo is 5.5" (14cms). Both have red & white cloth 'made in England' label stitched to bottom, Bingo also has original card label affixed to chest. Blended mohair (100% coverage), hand blown glass eyes.  A really lovely pair

(pre Tara Toys name change). Beautiful little girl, 19" tall. Golden mohair (approx 85% coverage), some bald patches, mainly to face. Felt pads (patching to left hand pad), complete with 'Eire' label to left foot pad. Inoperative growler. Huge soulful eyes, who could resist?

1938-1949 Irish Erris Toys - Item no OB033

1950s Swiss Mutzli - Item no OB034

1950s Swiss Mutzli MCZ
Unusual bear, hard to find, 13" tall, pinky beige plush fabric with bristle mohair to pads, ear linings and muzzle area. Open mouth, non-safety plastic eyes. Five way jointed (joints are quite loose, but secure), remains of chest button. Very good overall condition, slight wear to mohair areas.

c1950s Deans Rag Book Spaniel

This little darling is such a beauty in the 'fur', but oh so difficult to photograph, so please ask to see extra pictures and I will photograph him from every angle! I have called him a Spaniel, but I actually have no idea what breed of dog he is, suffice to say he has long floppy ears, a stubby tail and the most gorgeous glossy black fur! Measuring approx 13", he is made from mohair and very firmly stuffed. He is unjointed with a moulded plastic nose and plastic eyes. He has his original label to his bottom. He is all original, with only slight thinning to the fur on his head. His ears are felt lined with one tiny hole underneath. Truly adorable!

Merrythought Polar Bear - Item no OB114

Vintage Merrythought Polar Bear Pyjama Case
Probably dating from the 1970/80s. Lovely soft plush case with velveteen under-belly, plastic safety eyes and moulded plastic nose. Measuring approx 26" (66cms), Polar bear is lying stretched out on its tummy (like a rug), with zipper below (very clean interior). Complete with 2 sewn on labels. Re-homing for owner who is downsizing and must clear some space.
Was £18, now only £8, must rehome!

Teeny Tiny Dog

Tiny Dog - Item no OB021

1950s Chad Valley - Item no OB045

1950s Chad Valley, English

15", golden mohair (reasonable coverge apart from right arm which is completely bald on the back side!) Some sparse patches, but all on rear! Velveteen pads in very good condition, card lined feet. Plastic eyes, inoperative growler, original label to side seam. Owner selling on behalf of charity, all money raised will go to her cause!

c1960/70s Spanish Quiron Bear
Here's an unusual teddy. We really don't find many bears manufactured in Spain, in fact I would be hard pushed to think of any others! Measuring  22" tall, he is made from a long pile sheepskin with leather paw pads. 5 way jointed (one arm has been pinned into place and could do with rejointing). Hand made double layered glass eyes (blue & black), felt tongue, round felt 'ball' nose. Stitched in label to left arm reading 'manufacturas Quiron, fabricado con materiales de primera calidad. Made in Spain'. Complete with studded bear collar and badge from Royal Cornwall Show 9/6/84.

Spanish Quiron - Item no OB035

Pedigree Open Mouth - Item no OB038

1950/60s Pedigree
19", mohair blend fabric, excellent 100% coverage. Velveteen paw pads also in very good condition. Open mouthed design with striking triple layer hand blown glass eyes, five way jointed. Music box has been removed, leaving small eyelet hole at upper back. Lovely cuddly bear.

1950/60s Google-Eye Ted

Measuring just over 14", I believe this quirky fellow to be German or Austrian. Unfortunately there is no sign or any tags of labels. Made from a lovely pale greyish/fawn mohair, he has velveteen pawpads and unusual non-safety plastic eyes. He has a little upturned muzzle made from bristle mohair and a felt nose. He is fully jointed, but has an inoperative growler. He is filled with, what feels like foam rubber, so he is very soft and springy, but at the same time quite solid and dense. His tummy also crunches which means that he has some wood-wool there, probably around the voice box. He is in really good original condition with lovely soft fur. There is very slight thinning to the fur in the usual places ie tummy, left arm, back of body etc, but it is minimal and does not notice much. His paw pads are also in good condition, with only slight marking (right foot pad has a darkish 'dot' on it, but I haven't attempted to remove it).

Google Eyed Ted - Item no OB052

Canterbury Bear - Item no OB068

c1970/80s Canterbury Bears

Lovely traditional 15" teddy bear by Canterbury Bears, England. Fully jointed, this lovely bruin has suede pads, plastic safety eyes, and is made from a luscious soft plush. In fantastic near mint condition, and showing no signs of wear or thinning, he retains his label to leg. Teddy obviously has certain asperations, and came to me wearing his home-made super-hero cape. I haven't the heart to take it off him, so he will be rehomed complete with cape!
